Director of US Sales

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attain and exceed sales objectives by developing and executing plans necessary to grow solar business in the States.
- Generate and develop new accounts in the States.
- Maintain existing accounts and strengthen rapport with all levels of their management structure.
- Identify and prioritize the markets with the greatest potential for growth.
- Maintain contact and provide assistance to Headquarter to ensure achievement of goals.
- Regular communications with Headquarter.
- Coordinate on a regular basis with departments and personnel within company to achieve growth goals including Credit, Service and Warranty, Product Planning, etc.
- Advise and assist management regarding development of products and sale strategies for continued expansion.
- Meet budgetary expectations for both revenue and expenses.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Demonstrated success in starting and growing durable solar business. (Solar business is not necessary, the applicant may have a proven ability demonstrated in the semi-conductor or utility/energy business for example).
- An in-depth knowledge of US market development, and sales strategies for solar products.(Solar not necessary – knowledge of developments of sales strategies in the States as demonstrated in (1.) above would be considered).
- Experience dealing effectively with diverse international cultures and an understanding of the dynamic and changing international marketplace.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong personal presence.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- The desire, determination, and ability to consistently achieve goals in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
- Ability to understand and apply technical/engineering concepts.
- Willingness to travel.40-50% of travel
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- College degree
- Minimum of 10 years of business experience and international operations
- A highly metrics driven and customer focused leader with demonstrated success in implementing processes and procedures to drive quality and customer satisfaction.
- A technical or engineering background is an asset.
