ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Attain and exceed sales objectives by developing and executing plans necessary to grow solar business in the States.
  2. Generate and develop new accounts in the States.
  3. Maintain existing accounts and strengthen rapport with all levels of their management structure.
  4. Identify and prioritize the markets with the greatest potential for growth.
  5. Maintain contact and provide assistance to Headquarter to ensure achievement of goals.
  6. Regular communications with Headquarter.
  7. Coordinate on a regular basis with departments and personnel within company to achieve growth goals including Credit, Service and Warranty, Product Planning, etc.
  8. Advise and assist management regarding development of products and sale strategies for continued expansion.
  9. Meet budgetary expectations for both revenue and expenses.


QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  1. Demonstrated success in starting and growing durable solar business. (Solar business is not necessary, the applicant may have a proven ability demonstrated in the semi-conductor or utility/energy business for example).
  2. An in-depth knowledge of US market development, and sales strategies for solar products.(Solar not necessary – knowledge of developments of sales strategies in the States as demonstrated in (1.) above would be considered).
  3. Experience dealing effectively with diverse international cultures and an understanding of the dynamic and changing international marketplace.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong personal presence.
  5. Strong communication and presentation skills.
  6. The desire, determination, and ability to consistently achieve goals in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.
  7. Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
  8. Ability to understand and apply technical/engineering concepts.
  9. Willingness to travel.40-50% of travel


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  1. College degree
  2. Minimum of 10 years of business experience and international operations
  3. A highly metrics driven and customer focused leader with demonstrated success in implementing processes and procedures to drive quality and customer satisfaction.
  4. A technical or engineering background is an asset.
